General marketplaces

eBay and Facebook Marketplace have the most buyers, but they were not designed for car parts. Fitment questions arrive endlessly, fees on the big platforms take a meaningful slice of every sale, and you arrange postage yourself. For local collection-only items Facebook works, but you deal with no-shows and haggling in person.

Scrap and salvage buyers

Selling a whole car to a breaker is quick, but you are paid scrap-adjacent money for a car whose parts are worth several times more sold individually. How to make a part sell

3. Say what it came off. The donor car's model, year and engine is the single most useful line in a used part listing.
